Abundance of Biodiversity:
The estuary habitat offers fantastic diversity and an abundance of beautiful wildlife. Many animals are included such as, shore birds, fish, crabs and lobsters, marine mammals, clams and other shellfish, marine worms, sea birds, and reptiles. These organisms are all linked to each other and to the specialization of plants and microscopic organisms through complex food webs. For example, the black bears that can sometimes inhabit an estuary habitat eat shelled creatures such as mussels and crabs, providing an example of an interconnected relationship. Some of the types of wildlife and plants that can be found in the estuary habitat include black bears, sea otters, invertebrates, shorebirds, and assorted types of fish. The varying types of plant life, some of those plants include, smooth cord grass, sea grass, sea lavender, and assorted aquatic plants. These plants must grow deep and extensive root systems in order to get only freshwater to use. Another thing that plants must do to survive is only grow to small sizes, if plants grew too large then the wind gusts in the estuary would be detrimental to the plant life.
